The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman is a recurring character from the SpongeBob SquarePants series. He makes an appearance in both Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl games.

Biography[]

The Flying Dutchman is a malicious ghost who haunts the seven seas. Since his body was never properly buried and was instead used as a mannequin display, his ghost roams Bikini Bottom in order to scare people and take their souls just for fun. He owns his own ghastly pirate ship, which he uses as his home and as a way to find people to spook. He also likes to eat people, though for whatever reason he cannot eat anything without putting on his “dining sock”, which goes over his ghostly tail.

The Flying Dutchman appears as a background character in The Flying Dutchman's Ship.

In Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2[]

The Flying Dutchman appears as a Boss in the Campaign Mode, being battled at the end of the Wilderness area. His boss fight takes place on The Flying Dutchman's Ship. The Flying Dutchman also appears in the background of the stage in normal gameplay.

Moveset[]

Slash: Slashes with his sword.
Pierce: Dashes forward with a flaming sword.
Barrel Set: Places an explosive barrel, which can be picked up and thrown at him.
Barrel Detonate: Lightning strikes one of the barrels on the stage, detonating it.
Sailor's Mouth: The Flying Dutchman breathes fire downward, covering a platform in flames for a period of time.
Fly of Despair: The player is put into the Fly of Despair, removing them from the battle while taking damage for a short time, before reappearing.
