Raphael is a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, originating from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was announced in the reveal trailer released on July 27th, 2023.

Moveset[]

Playstyle[]

Raphael is a hyper-aggressive rushdown character, who excels in amazing speed and combos. However, his moves overall don't do much damage and he is lightweight.

Light Attacks[]

Ninja Combo (Neutral Grounded): A three hit combo. The finishing hit launches opponents upward.
Sai Barrage (Side Grounded): Raphael slashes forward with his sai. A three hit combo. DAMAGE: 3 (Hits 1-2), 7 (Hit 3)
Ninja Upwards Kick (Up Grounded): Does a kick upward. DAMAGE: 11
Down Thrust/Down Swipe (Down Grounded): Stabs his Sai downward. Holding the button will have the move launch vertically rather than horizontally.. DAMAGE: 7 (Tap), 6 (Hold)
Cannonball (Dash Attack): Leaps forward, curled into a ball. DAMAGE: 14
Sai Windmill (Neutral Aerial): Raphael slashes in a tornado. One of his best moves due to it's range and combo power. DAMAGE: 4 (Hit 1), 8 (Hit 2)
Turnaround Kick (Forward Aerial): Does a roundhouse kick forward. A great combo tool. DAMAGE: 9
Double Sai Stab (Back Aerial): Raphael slashes behind himself. Low range, but is his most powerful light aerial. DAMAGE: 14
Rotating Aerial Sai (Up Aerial): Does a lunging slash upward. DAMAGE: 8
Kick Barrage (Down Aerial): Raphael kicks four times downward. DAMAGE: 3 (Hits 1-3), 5 (Hit 4)

Strong Attacks[]

Lock and Slash (Side Grounded): Slashes forward, moving him forward slightly. This move hits twice and is very powerful. DAMAGE: 1 (Hit 1), 10 (Hit 2)
Spinning Sai Slashes (Up Grounded): Slashes upward with one sai before stabbing upward with the other. 1 (Hits 1-2), 10 (Hit 3)
Grounded Sai Slash (Down Grounded): Slashes in front and behind him. A pretty basic double slash Down Charge. DAMAGE: 15 (Front), 13 (Back)
Drop Kick (Side Aerial): Kicks forward, moving him forward very slightly. Powerful but hard to land. DAMAGE: 17
Green Tornado (Up Aerial): Raphael spins around like a tornado. This move gives him a small vertical boost, albeit with some lag. DAMAGE: 17
Helmsplitter Kick (Down Aerial): Does a swinging kick. Can spike opponents. DAMAGE: 18

Special Attacks[]

Shuriken (Neutral): Shoots a shuriken downward for a short-range projectile. Meant as a combo tool, this move is very useful. DAMAGE: 3
- Slime Version: Shoots three shurikens in a fan-like arc. DAMAGE: 6 (per shuriken)
Power Drill (Side): Raphael lunges forward, spinning like a drill. This move hits multiple times, and can be used for horizontal recovery. DAMAGE: 13
- Slime Version: Travels further with much greater power. DAMAGE: 25
Sai Spin Attack (Up): Raphael spins upward before finishing with a kick. The move hits multiple times and is very powerful. DAMAGE: 16
- Slime Version: Travels further.
Turtle Flip (Down): Raphael does a kick forward before grabbing opponents. Can be used for horizontal recovery, and pressing the attack button after the first kick causes Raphael to do a second kick instead of a grab. DAMAGE: 9 (Grab and Kick)
- Slime Version: Travels further.

Forward Throw: Knees the opponent forward. DAMAGE: 4
Back Throw: Rolls backward and kicks the opponent behind him. DAMAGE: 6
Up Throw: Throws the opponent upward. Basic combo throw. DAMAGE: 6
Down Throw: Throws the opponent to the ground before spinning on them with his sai. Does a good amount of damage. DAMAGE: 13

Super Attack[]

Raphael hits opponents with a flurry of slashes.

Red	Raphael's default costume. Based on his appearance in seasons 2-7 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
Black	Inspired by the Playmates Heavy Metal Raph figure, with Michelangelo's eyepatch and vest from the Coming Out of Their Shells tour.
Green	Based on his Playmates figure.
White	Based on Eastman and Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the comic series that started the franchise as a whole.
Aura	Raphael under the control of Vlad Plasmius. Unlocked by fighting his ghost clone in the Campaign mode.
Clone	Raphael's ghost clone. Unlocked in the Campaign mode.

Raphael's Side Special, Power Drill, is ripped straight from it's first appearance, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project.
One of Raphael's stun animations has him holding his foot in pain, a clear reference to the iconic "MY TOE!" hurt animation from Turtles In Time.
Raphael's Up Light is a reference to one of Michelangelo's attacks in the NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.
Raphael saying "Booyakasha" in his strong up attack, and his down taunt references the iconic line from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 TV show.
Raphael referring Vlad as "Vlady" references how Jack Fenton refers him by that in the Danny Phantom TV show, considering that both Raph and Jack were voiced by Rob Paulsen.
