This page is about Mr Krabs’ appearance in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. For the character in other contexts, see Mr. Krabs.
Penny-pinching owner of the Krusty Krab, and lover of good ol' money.
Mr. Krabs is a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, originating from SpongeBob SquarePants. He was revealed to be the first of the Season Pass DLC characters on October 31st, 2023, and released on February 15th, 2024.
Moveset[]
Playstyle[]
Mr. Krabs is a heavyweight with considerable power and range, but he's initially very lacking in speed. However, collecting money increases his speed and enhances his specials; making him much more dangerous when his meter is filled. Getting to that point can be difficult though, as his opponents can take his money before he does and exploit his weak recovery to deplete the money he's already collected.
Gimmick[]
Whenever Mr. Krabs damages an opponent or gets damaged himself, money drops out. He can collect money to fill a meter above his percentage, which increases his movement speed and enhances his special moves as you fill it. The meter is divided into three sections (first green, then blue, then red); each granting more speed and special move enhancements then the last. You only lose your collected money after getting KO'd or using down special with full meter. Opponents can also collect money, though it gives them no benefit unless they are also Mr. Krabs. The types of money that can drop out are bronze coins, silver coins, gold coins and dollar bills, in order of least to most valuable. The coins all stay on the ground, whereas the dollar bills slowly float downwards in the air.

- A Sailor's Mouth (Up Aerial): Mr. Krabs holds his foot in pain while yelling profanities. DAMAGE: 2 (Hit 1), 13 (Hit 2)
- Money Vacuum (Down Aerial): Mr. Krabs uses a vacuum to shoot money downwards; propelling himself upwards slightly. Gains more range and power the higher his Money Level is. Can be used to suck up money while charging. DAMAGE: 10
Special Attacks[]
- The Money Bag (Neutral): Mr. Krabs strikes with a bag of money. At Money Level 1, a single burst of bronze coins occurs in front of the swing. At level 2, an additional silver coin burst follows it. And at level 3, a final gold coin burst is added. Has considerable endlag, but is great for keeping opponents at bay. DAMAGE: 7 (Bag), 4 (Coin Bursts 1-3)
- Slime Version: Uses the level 2 version when at level 1, and the level 3 version when at level 2. The Level 3 enhancement does nothing.
- Tallyho!/Back to Oblivion!/Playtime's Over! (Side): Mr. Krabs strikes with a swordfish's head. Tallyho (Level 1) stabs forward once, Back to Oblivion (Level 2) chains into two upward strikes to start combos, and Playtime's Over (Level 3) ends with a spinning multihit strike with large knockback, but large endlag. DAMAGE: 6 (LV1), 6 (LV2, Hits 1-3), 1 (LV3 Hits 4-17) 5 (LV3 Hit 18)
- Slime Version: The Level increases with each slime usage. The Level 3 enhancement does nothing.
- Fishing Trip (Up): Mr. Krabs casts a fishing line forward; grabbing and throwing any opponent caught in the hook. In the air, this becomes a tether recovery, which can also deal slight knockback to any aerial opponents. At Level 3, he also summons
a floating shopping listthe ghost of Smitty Werbenjaegermanjensen at the point of impact (ground only) to burn any opponents near it and make them drop even more money. Knockback also increases for each level, with Level 3 having a ton of knockback and increased range. DAMAGE: 9 (LV1 and LV2), 10 (LV3), 2 (LV3 Smitty per hit)- Slime Version: The rod swings in a 360 degree arc with an improved, non-grabbing hitbox in the air. DAMAGE: 8
- Gold Rush (Down): Mr. Krabs digs for a gold bar when on the ground, which can be picked up to fill an entire section's worth of the meter. However, it has a long cooldown period even when the move is interrupted before the bar can be dug out. In the air, he instead slams the shovel downward as a spike attack. When the meter is completely filled, the aerial version instead uses his first dime, which is his most powerful attack. The meter is also completely expended after using this move. DAMAGE: None (Dig), 8 (LV1 Shovel), 9 (LV2 Shovel), 12 (LV3 Shovel) 15 (Dime)
- Slime Version: Digs up the gold bar faster, and increases the level for the shovel. You cannot slime enhance the dime.
