Hamato Yoshi, also known as Master Splinter, is a reoccurring character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. He appears as an NPC in the Campaign mode of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
Biography[]
Originally a Japanese human, Splinter (known back then as Hamato Yoshi) was a martial artist instructor with a love for Renaissance art, who trained the Foot Clan. However, he was framed by his rival, Oroku Saki (who latter became the Shredder) for attempted murder towards their common dojo master. Expelled by the Foot Clan, Yoshi went into hiding inside the sewers of New York City, where he became a hermit that befriended rats. One day, he came across four baby turtles that were dropped into the sewers, he took upon himself to take care of them. Suddenly, the turtles and Yoshi came across a strange chemical liquid. While attempting to clean it, Yoshi was mutated into becoming an humanoid rat while the turtles became anthropomorphic turtles. It was then Yoshi, now changing his name to Splinter, became the sensei and trained the turtles - now named Leonardo, Michealangelo, Donatello, and Raphael to fighting in ninjutsu.
