Angry Beavers (NASB 2)

The Beaver Brothers, who often get angry at each other.

Daggett and Norbert, collectively known as the Angry Beavers, are a playable duo character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, originating from the show of the same name. They were revealed by Polygon on September 28th, 2023.

Moveset[]

Playstyle[]

The Beavers are a tag team duo with varying strengths and weaknesses. Daggett focuses on an oppressive combo game and field of projectiles, while Norbert focuses on powerful KO's and long-ranged attacks. However, both of their recoveries have flaws, Daggett being mostly horizontal and Norbert being mostly vertical, and they are lightweight.

Gimmick[]

Dagget and Norbert have different movesets and attributes, with Daggett having greater speed and combo ability and Norbert having greater range and power. You can swap between the two their using down special.

Light Attacks[]

Slap City (Neutral Grounded, Both): Two slaps followed by rapid cartoonish slapping.
Chomp Champs (Side Grounded): Bites forward. Sends forward a good distance.
A Beaver’s Sweet Tail (Up Grounded): Does a handstand and slaps their tail upward. DAMAGE: 10 (Both)
Slap Happy (Down Grounded): Slaps their tail on the ground. Can be spammed.
Spinning Spoots (Neutral Aerial): Spins around.
The Sweet Spoot Slash (Forward Aerial): Slashes downward. Norbert swings his golf club forward.
The Tail End of Things (Back Aerial): Slaps backwards with their tails. Hits multiple times.
A Tale of Two Beavers (Up Aerial): Swings their tail upward. Daggett launches at a low angle while Norbert acts as a slow yet effective juggle tool. DAMAGE: 6 (Daggett), 8 (Norbert)
Backhander (Down Aerial): Daggett swings his claw downward, while Norbert swings his golf club downward. Norbert's version has a spike hitbox in the beginning. DAMAGE: 14 (Daggett), 13 (Sweet Norbert), 10 (Sour Norbert)

Excaliball (Side Grounded): Uses the Excaliball as a long ranged attack. DAMAGE: 14
Explosive Force (Up Grounded): Becomes buff for a short-range, powerful attack. DAMAGE: 18
Gone Berserk (Down Grounded): Spins in a tornado (though cannot move, unlike his Up Special).
Silent Wind of Doom (Side Aerial): A flying kick with great horizontal momentum. Good for recovery.
Excaliballin’ (Up Aerial): Swings the Excaliball in the air. Wide range.
Fantastic Woodwork (Down Aerial): Swings downward with a giant mallet.

Norbert[]

Time Travelling Punch (Side Grounded): Punches forward with a boxing glove. More overall range than Daggett. DAMAGE: 18 (Sweet), 16 (Sour)
Triple Bogey (Up Grounded): Punches upward with a boxing glove, then an upwards tail swing, then finally a golf club whack. Hits three times.
Around the World and Back (Down Grounded): Swings a golf club all around himself before finishing with a pose.
Logging You Out (Side Aerial): Swings a large chunk of wood forward.
Fabulous Slash (Up Aerial): Shows off his stunning haircut by waving it in the air.
Hole in One (Down Aerial): Swings downward with a golf club. Has a spike hitbox in the end.

Special Attacks[]

Hidden Logs (Neutral, Norbert): Summons Daggett to throw three sharp logs at a diagonal angle, which then crash down on the opponent one-by-one. Has homing properties unless the opponent is approaching. DAMAGE: 3 (per log)
Cheers to the New Years (Neutral, Daggett): Summons Norbert to shoot a beam horizontally with large range. DAMAGE: 8
- Slime Version (Norbert): Has the logs target the opponent.
- Slime Version (Daggett): Shoots two beams both upward and downward.
Chainsaw Bite (Side, Norbert): Summons Daggett to dash forward on water and bite multiple times.
Mashed Potatoes Blast (Side, Daggett): Summons Norbert to shoot a flurry of mashed potatoes diagonally downwards.
- Slime Version (Norbert): Goes farther.
- Slime Version (Daggett): Shoots the potatoes in a wider range.
Beaver Slash (Norbert): Norbert sprouts wings and flies upward a short distance. Has a really strong hit right at the start.
Dagnado (Daggett): Daggett spins in a tornado before getting a short vertical boost. On the ground, moves horizontally but cannot jump, and in the air, he rises upward a little bit. Great horizontal distance, and can hit opponents multiple times.
- Slime Version (Daggett): Daggett instantly rises into the air and goes a little higher. Can also move in any direction a little bit.
- Slime Version (Norbert): Norbert goes a little higher.
Tag Out (Down, Both): The beavers swap out with a splash of water. You can swap out during either of their neutral or side specials, though you won’t be able to swap for a few seconds if the assisting beaver is hit during those moves.
- Slime Version: Swaps faster.

Throws[]

Grab: Daggett/Norbert holds the opponent above his head.
Pummel: Daggett/Norbert slams the opponent on the ground
Forward Throw: Daggett/Norbert throws up the opponent and slaps them away with their tail
Back Throw: Daggett/Norbert quickly throws their opponent backwards.
Up Throw: Daggett/Norbert does a handstand and whacks the opponent with his tail.
Down Throw: Daggett/Norbert throws down the opponent and stomps downward on them.

Other[]

Sliding Tackle (Dash Attack): Leaps at the opponent before tripping, going a long horizontal distance.
Ultimate Attack: Either Norbert or Daggett brings out the Mindulator-thingy and begins charges it up. Eventually the beaver grows impatient and quickly tosses the thingy at the opponent, knocking them out.

Idle Animation: Daggett points and laughs./Norbert smugly crosses his arms and looks at the player.

Taunt 2: Norbert/Daggett holds up a sign with the word "Ha!" on it.
Taunt 3: Norbert/Daggett wipe their hands.

Norbert:"Dag's right. As the loser, you have to leave the poor universe alone and send us all back to where we came from." (After defeating Vlad for the second time)

Norbert:"Er, yeah, time ghost? We could use a hand here! And not the kind on your face!" (Asking Clockwork to save them after Vlad's machine malfunctions and destroys the universe a second time)
Dagget:"And you're getting on my last nerve! And I was saving that one for Norbert!"
Norbert:"Oh you won't like it when Daggett gets mad. I mean he's gonna go loco on you!!" (Confronting Vlad for the third time)

Norbert:"I am and I wish I wasn't. Hey universe! Stop that! We saved you!" (Watching the universe be destroyed a third time)
Dagget:"Hm... look who's here, Norb. There goes the neighborhood..."
Norbert:"Ugh. I don't like the idea of him being here any more than I like mashed potatoes in my undies." (Asking Vlad why he is in the Timeless Stardial)
Dagget:"Don't try and pull a fast one on us, ghost. We won!"
Norbert:"Sorry if that's some sorta newsflash for ya, but that means we'll be sent home any second now." (Wondering why Clockwork would leave them and Vlad trapped in the Timeless Stardial)

Norbert:"Of course not! But... uh... there IS a financial reward involved, isn't there?" (Talking to Vlad after defeating Clockwork)

Norbert:"You're lucky. I think I strained a calf muscle." (after learning that Clockwork knew Vlad was a ghost clone)

Norbert:"Have you met us, buddy? Tell ya what, how'bout you stay in your nice little Stardial and we go home?" (Refusing to accept his offer to return to the Timeless stardial)
Dagget:"Man, Norb... I thought the other ghost was scarabee!!"
Norbert:"I don't wanna fight any more scary ghosts, Dag. Can we go home now?" (After Evil Clockwork disappears)
Dagget:"If he thinks he can scare us talking like that... he's right."
Norbert:"But we shouldn't let that stop us like it normally does. Whattaya say we go pay that ghost a visit"? (Being challenged by Evil Clockwork)
Dagget:"You're gonna blow a gasket if you keep going like this."
Norbert:"Yeah, isn't there a nice fix-it lady in the Timeless Stardial who can help out? I know... let's go back there!" (Begging Clockwork to return to the Timeless Stardial to undo the effects of Vlad's machine)

Norbert:"And it's not even March!" (Before starting the final battle with Clockwork)

Daggett's neutral strong attack is Excaliball (a bowling ball that bungees to Daggett's palm by gum) from "Alley Oops" in Season 2.
Norbert's neutral strong attack is a boxing glove from "Same Time Last Week" in Season 2 when he literally bopped Daggett into the previous week.
Their taunt of them dancing comes from the theme song.
Their taunt of them holding a sign is a reference to the Season 2 episode "Utter Nonsense".
Their Super Attack is a reference to the Season 2 half-hour episode "The Day the World Got Really Screwed Up!".
The move “Hidden Logs” references Dr. Doom’s similar move, “Hidden Missiles” from Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Trivia[]

Whenever Norbert speaks in the campaign, he would get a different dialogue render (which is just the same renders just without Daggett). This would make them the only fighter to do that.
